About HydroKrat

HydroKrat is a step-by-step course in Kratky hydroponics: growing food in still water, with no pumps and no electricity.

What we do

We grow with the Kratky method ourselves, and we turn what we learn into short lessons you can follow in order. The lettuce, basil, tomatoes and seedlings in our photos come from our own Kratky garden.

Who it is for

HydroKrat is for complete beginners. If you have never grown a plant in water, or tried hydroponics and found it complicated, the course starts from the very first step.

How the course works

Each lesson covers one step, from choosing your first plant to harvest. Read them in order, set up one container, and grow alongside the lessons. Where a lesson relies on research, it lists its sources.
