New to Kratky hydroponics? This page tells you what the course covers, what you need and how to use it.
What you will learn
By the end of the course you will have grown a plant from seed to harvest in a single container, with no pump and no electricity. You will know how to mix nutrients, check pH, protect the air gap and fix the most common problems.
What you need
- A container with a lid that is dark, or that you can cover
- A net cup that fits the lid, and a growing medium such as rockwool
- Hydroponic nutrients and a pH test kit
- Seeds of an easy plant (lettuce is the usual first choice)
- A sunny window or a grow light
You do not need to buy everything at once. Each lesson tells you what you need for that step.
How to use the course
- Read the lessons in order. Each one builds on the last.
- Start one container while you read, so you learn by doing.
- Use the blog for side questions. Every post links back to its lesson.
